HEARSAY COMMITTEE: The Hearsay is the flagship magazine of the Clark County Bar Association. Acclaimed worldwide (or at least in our local area), Hearsay features articles and profiles written by and of interest to our local attorney community. We're always looking for creative people to write for us but if that's not your thing, there are lots of ways you can contribute! We invite you to come to a meeting and bring ideas for interesting articles, suggest fascinating people for us to profile, help us out with enticing new advertisers or just come and eat our cookies! The Hearsay committee will be the one meeting in your month that you truly look forward to attending. We meet the first Friday of each month via Zoom. Contact Lisa Darco at the CCBA office for more information! 360.695.5975
CLE COMMITTEE: The CCBA has an amazing CLE Program but those things don't put themselves together! We have a very dedicated committee that brainstorms ideas and speakers to keep the programs interesting and relevant. Contact the CCBA for more information. 360.695.5975
FAMILY LAW SECTION: The largest section in the Clark County Bar, the Family Law Section has over 100 members and hosts lively and educational lunch meetings ten months of the year. The Section is currently meeting at the Red Cross Building at Fort Vancouver and one continuing legal education credit is awarded for each meeting September through June, with the exception of the December meeting when gifts are distributed to meeting attendees by a jolly, red and white hatted judge. The meeting speakers focus on family law topics and usually a case update by one of the Section members is provided at each meeting. The Section is very happy to welcome new members throughout the year. Contact current president Chelsie Elliott for more information.
YOUNG LAWYERS SECTION: The CCBA Young Lawyers Section would like to invite you to join them! A "Young Lawyer" is defined as an attorney that has been in practice for 5 years or less or is 36 years of age or younger, whichever is later. The CCBA YLS invites you to attend their monthly Happy Hour - dates and locations to be announced. This is a great opportunity to network and meet members of the bar both "young" and "experienced".
